Ron once told me, "Expectations should not be like this", and holding his palm open he then clenched it tightly. "But rather like this" he continued, holding his palm open again , gently making a loose fist and then opening it exposing the full surface of his palm.
This, is the closest I have got to , in balancing the seemingly absurd idea of ‘no expectations’ in relationships with the actuality of life.
